Timeless, natural, and deeply romantic. An intimate February celebration with the San Francisco Bay as its backdrop.
When Michaela and Kyle chose Cavallo Point for their February wedding, they knew exactly the feeling they were after: timeless, elegant, and rooted in the natural beauty of the Bay Area. What they created was a celebration that felt as organic and serene as the landscape surrounding it, warm ivory florals spilling over deep wintergreen, candlelight glowing against the water, and a quiet sophistication that made every detail feel both intentional and completely at ease.
Perched at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, Cavallo Point is one of those rare venues where the setting does as much work as the design. In February, with the bay glittering in cool winter light and the historic fort buildings lending their quiet grandeur to the backdrop, it felt like the perfect place for an intimate, romantic celebration. The venue’s natural elegance set the tone for everything that followed.

The design vision was described beautifully in three words: timeless, natural, and elegant. Built on a base of warm sand and ivory cream, the palette layered in varying shades of organic green, deep wintergreen and sea kelp, with pops of deep teal appearing in the bridesmaids’ dresses and stationery. Subtle silver accents in the silverware and signage added a quiet refinement, while tuxedo black provided sharp, modern contrast in the chairs and small decorative accents.
Candlelight was central to the whole look. Dozens of candles in varying heights lined the tables, framed the seating chart display, and scattered across the espresso martini bar, creating pools of warm, golden glow at every turn that made the February evening feel genuinely magical.
We brought the floral vision to life with warm ivories, creams, and whites paired with organic and textural greens, a mix of roses, tulips, calla lilies, delphinium, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, and lisianthus, accented by green antique and limelight hydrangeas and Quicksand roses for warmth and contrast. Arrangements lived in natural grey-to-clay ceramic vessels and muted silver compotes, pairing beautifully with the warm neutrals of the overall design.
The tabletop told the same story. Tables were set with neutral linen, charcoal-rimmed ceramic plates, etched crystal glasses, and classic silver flatware, understated and elegant, letting the flowers and candlelight do the talking.

The ceremony featured a semi-circle meadow of five medium floral installations, a lush, ground-level arrangement of textured greenery, dainty wildflowers like feverfew and Queen Anne’s lace, and structural statement blooms including limelight hydrangeas, tulips, roses, and calla lilies. Two matching aisle markers, greenery-heavy and organic, lined the path to the altar. The bridal bouquet, tulips, roses, and calla lilies wrapped tightly in raw silk ribbon, was polished yet soft, with just enough movement to feel effortless.
After the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour with drinks in hand, the bay glittering in the winter dusk and candlelight already casting its warm spell across the venue. A standout detail: the espresso martini bar, scattered with pillar candles and nestled alongside the reception, became a gathering spot that felt both glamorous and relaxed, very Cavallo Point.
Cavallo Point’s culinary team handled dinner with the care and quality the venue is known for, while Lucky Devils kept the energy up and the dance floor full well into the evening. The rehearsal dinner the night before, styled with striking black and white anemones in brushed gold compotes, set a beautiful tone for the weekend to come.

A celebration this refined and beautifully layered takes a team who truly understands the vision. So much gratitude to everyone who brought Michaela and Kyle’s day to life:
