When Mari and Joey first approached us with their vision for their special day, we were immediately inspired. They shared that they wanted a modern boho meets nautical wedding with wild party energy and deeply personal touches. As wedding planners who thrive on unique visions, we couldn’t wait to bring this beautiful blend to life at the breathtaking Travis Marina.

The Setting: Travis Marina’s Golden Gate Magic

There are venues, and then there’s Travis Marina. Nestled perfectly to showcase panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, this location provided the ultimate backdrop for Mari and Joey’s celebration. As guests arrived, they were immediately greeted by the majestic orange-red spans of the bridge contrasted against the deep blues of the San Francisco Bay. The natural beauty of this setting required little embellishment—nature had already perfected the scene.

Personal Touches That Tell Their Story

What made this wedding truly special were the thoughtful personal elements woven throughout:

A custom trivia wheel became the evening’s conversation starter—a nod to Joey’s appearance on The Price is Right! Guests spun for prizes and laughs, creating an interactive experience that reflected the couple’s playful spirit.

The CODY marquee sign illuminated the dance floor, celebrating the couple’s newly shared last name in lights. Custom bar menus featured signature cocktails named after meaningful moments in their relationship.

Perhaps most touching were the table signs adorned with photographs from Mari and Joey’s extensive travels together—each destination representing a chapter in their love story. Guests were essentially seated at different milestones of their relationship, sparking stories and memories throughout the evening.

The Aesthetic: Modern Boho Meets Nautical

We embraced organic materials and textures while incorporating modern geometric elements and bohemian touches. The color palette was a sophisticated blend of neutrals serving as the foundation, with thoughtful accents of blush pink, vibrant orange, and varying shades of blue that complemented both the coastal setting and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.

Our floral design at Three Summer Days Events focused on creating arrangements that felt both wild and intentional. Locally-sourced blooms in those carefully selected hues arranged in asymmetrical designs that felt as though they’d been gathered from a seaside garden that morning.

The Celebration: From Emotional Ceremony to Epic Party

The afternoon ceremony was intimate and emotional, with the bridge standing witness. But as evening fell, the energy transformed exactly as Mari and Joey had envisioned—into what can only be described as an epic celebration.

DJ Elias Magana deserves special recognition for reading the crowd perfectly, transitioning from cocktail hour jazz to dance floor anthems that kept guests moving until it was time to  wrap things up. The dance floor never emptied—exactly as our couple had requested.
